About This File

XPFR present you a little update of the Beber's "Pilot Collection". Now, pilot figures will be automatically invisible in internal view (like 3D cockpit view).

How does this collection can be used ? Well... :

You've made your aircraft in plane-maker, it flies well but it just missed one thing... A PILOT !

Modeling 3D humans is quite difficult, so, here is a solution.

On our webpage, you can download 25 optimized animated pilots and choose between different racial type, aviation type and historic type !

All are in X-Plane "obj" format and ready to be introduced in your plane via Plane-Maker or Blender if you like... How ?

Here is the user manual :

1- ) Copy/duplicate one of the Pilot Collection pilot objects .obj (with its artwork) to the specific plane's home folder (where the .acf file resides)

2- A ) If you use a Plane-Maker fuse without windshield or windows, you can add the pilot object as a misc object using Plane-Maker.

2- B ) If your aircraft use the Plane-Maker fuse and if this fuse has windshield and windows, you will have to rename the .obj to get it to be used as your cockpit object, for example, rename it like this  "my aircraft name_cockpit_OUT.obj"

Note that the cockpit object should be in the aircraft's root directory folder (the same as the "my aircraft name.acf" file).  Not in the objects folder !

3- A ) look at the misc objects list in Plane-maker and be sure that the pilot is at the top of the list !

3- B ) Open the aircraft in Planemaker -> go to Viewpoint, first page, and in the last column (cockpit object) -> adjust the long/lat/vert arms to move the object around until it is in the pilot's seat.

That's all !

Now, feel free to do what you want with the files ("aircraft_pilot.png" can be repainted, if desired for example)... but ONLY FOR FREEWARE CONTENT !

Response from the author:

Thanks !... Even if this collection is really not perfect and quite old now (more than 10 years !)
