Version 2.3 comes with sound!

The next version of FlyWithLua is on it's final approach. At the moment I published the new version 2.3 on Github. You can download it from this page as a ZIP file:

https://github.com/X-Friese/FlyWithLua

Simply click on the "Download ZIP" button at the right side of the page. Then extract the subfolder "FlyWithLua" from the ZIP and you are ready to explore the new sound feature - if you use a Windows PC.

Sorry, but this early beta is Windows only. But if it is reported as safe and working, Mac and Linux will follow soon.

Get part of the great FlyWithLua project and become a beta-tester! Write a nice little (and well documented) script showing the sound feature and post it here at x-plane.org. Explore errors and report them. You still have wishes left, not satisfied by the new sound system? Let me know.

Thanks for your support!

I have a working version 2.3 on Ubuntu 14.04, 13.10 and 12.10 and plays my sound file just fine.

Thanks Bill

I've installed on Mac and it seems to be working fine with the scripts I was used to, however I tried copilot and it produces an error. I reproted this to copilot's author.

I found the same problem on my Mac but not on my Linux machine. In looking at it I found there was a path issue and this is what I did to correct it.

Anywhere I found this

SCRIPT_DIRECTORY .. "

I replaced it with

"./Resources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts/

I have tested it on my Linux machine and also my Mac and seems to work fine. I have used this on my plugin so had a good starting point when I found there was a path issue.
