Future Interviews

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to share their ideas for future interviews.

Some of the names mentioned have already been interviewed, so if you are not sure, feel free to have a look through the full list here.

A few of the suggestions are people I’ve contacted in the past, but they politely declined. That said, you’ve given more than enough ideas to get going, so thank you again!

Airport of the Week

Can you guess the name of the airport below?

If so, why not attach a screenshot (no real photographs or additional clues) in the comments section...but DO NOT mention the name (gives others a chance) 😀

Clue: Surrounded by hills and nestled beside a winding river named after an American artist and explorer, this little airport in the Golden State is a favourite among general aviation pilots in search of riverside camping, bush flying, and beautiful views. The nearby town was moved to its current location in the mid-20th century due to damming, with the remnants of the old settlement still visible when water levels are low. Just don’t forget your fishing rod.

Note: No runway numbers shown. Some of you are far too good at detective work.

Well done to airkibris001, Iceair, ayryq, Tintifaxl, Echo-Tango-Juliet, J.K., Fatherofsam, basmartin, necropilot, MarcXP, thelofiboy, royaloak, Frank H, and skycycle, who all correctly guessed, Milford Sound Airport (NZMF).

So, a box of chocolates to the winners…and a pair of my smelly socks (new batch just in) to everyone else! 😄

Nice airstrip. Showed up in the Beaver. Mistake. Density Altitude made takeoff a major pucker-factor. Managed to get it in the air ok, but it was a hairy flight. Landing on the lake didn't go so well, but at least I didn't die. I think I need a course in mountain flying.

It's been a bit of a dry spell, but I think I finally found one. Used the tail to cover runway numbers for ya Dom.
