Hello I need help for my A320. Unfortunately I can't manage to fly an ILS. Every time I am either too high or the ILS is simply not recognized. I set the right approach altitude every time and the frequency and course is right. But when I click the approach button nothing happens, or rather the Loc is not intercepted. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I also have it,had to go around in three flights,

RNAV works ok.

V1.7.0

Bug reported as i see this also, usually too high on the ILS even though cockpit display is correct

I have the same problem, the G/S on the PFD is bang on, the PAPIS show that I'm high on the G/S and the map also shows the same high approach.

Attached I have pictures from the LEMD 34R ILS, as an example, and the AIRAC I'm using.

AIRAC

AIRAC updated on the plane and also X-Plane (NAVIGRAPH)

G/S Intercept

G/S interception on the correct altitude and CONF (F1)

FULL CONFIG and showing correct G/S on PFD but shows ABOVE on the MAP

FULL CONFIG and showing correct G/S on PFD but shows ABOVE (4 whites) on the PAPI's

After landing the map shows over the G/S approach

This problem happens on all the ILS approaches, but RNAV works perfect.

I've tried doing the same approaches on other aircraft: Zibo 737, LR A330, C172... and they're always correct on the map view, the PAPI's show 2 whites and two reds, as expected, but on the FF A320 I'm always high regardless of G/S interception CONFIG, FLAPS 1 or FLAPS 2.

If all the approaches where wrong I could blame on the NavData but it's only the ILS's.

P.S. I've always been able to intercept the G/S correctly. And I've also seen that on some approaches when putting the ILS Code sometimes there are duplicate entries available on the list.

I forgot to say this is X-Plane 12 without third-party scenery

Please @Horusjatina have a look at this.

I have the same problem,G/S is displayed correctly in ND,PAPI lights show too high and above the runway threshold 100 feet too high

Best regards

I'm going to try without the NAVDATA update to see if it's a problem with the plane or NAVIGRAPH

It has nothing to do with the version of the navdata. The A320 seems incapable of intercepting glideslopes from above.

I've filed a ticket about it months ago, seems nothing's ever been done with it.

Finally someone with the same problem as me.

I must say i've had problems even if i'm at the intercept altitude and slow, meaning CONF 1 or 2 and on S/F speed.

And I must add that it's impossible to intercept with FLAPS 1 and decelerate on the glide, seem like the drag is not enough to at least maintain speed I have to select FLAPS 2 immediately at G/S capture or non standard gear down to decrease speed (on a 3º glide).

If you want more information or tests feel free to ask

Best Regards
