	Is this an XP-12 glitch? I do not have a click spot to show/hide the pilot. When I first loaded the aircraft, the pilot's head was missing. Reloading fixed that issue and I flew for a bit without issue, but then accidentally pulled the BRS chute. When I reloaded after the BRS deployment, now the pilot is missing and there is no click-spot to show it again. The only click-spot in the vicinity of the right leg is the HUD control. Left has the tablet spot and the helmet toggle. Helmet toggle changes the sound, but nothing else, and I've searched all around the cockpit for another click-spot to activate the pilot and cannot find it. I even tried moving the camera down into the footwell to see if there was a click-spot hiding in there somewhere behind the HUB spot, but there isn't one there.

	Hi Adrian, this piece is called racer. But how will I get it speeded up? Moving my pitch axis cause a slight forward moving, but the view is down to earth. When I yaw, I see the middle props moving, one to the front and one to the back. Is it possible to move BOTH middle props forward?

	Have downloaded the NHRacer and love it!  I used to daydream about having something like this when I was a young boy back in the fifties.  The problem I have found is that the Honeycomb Bravo throttle has very limited range when used with the NHRacer.  I have to use the keyboard up/down arrows to get the cockpit view throttle visible and use that to get the racer airborne.  The throttle range is configured correctly in trhe X-plane settings and works normally with all other planes. What am I overlooking here?

	Last night I tried a bit of a challenge.  I wanted to see if I could get from NZMF to my custom airport in southern New Zealand.  This was clearly something I could not do on one charge.  In fact, because of certain choices, I crashed during an out-landing attempt on my first try.  I had one simple rule:  I would only fly from airport to airport, or, in a pinch, I would substitute landing at a residential home if no commercial building was available.  Presumably the residence would have been pre-coordinated in advance and the owner would have a suitable automotive charging capability with which to charge up the NHRacer.  This process simulates the future of electric aviation.  It was not unlike a long motorcycle journey where one has a smallish gas tank, something I'm familiar with considering I can currently get only about 110-125 miles out of a tank of gas with my current supermoto.
</p>

<p>
	My journey:
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="Honeyview_2021-11-08 00_53_59-Window.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="644107" data-ratio="68.50" data-unique="ptltnaijo" style="width: 600px; height: auto;" width="869" data-src="https://forums.x-plane.org/uploads/monthly_2021_11/195259109_Honeyview_2021-11-0800_53_59-Window.jpg.bef3271edeafa148d6c0a019eb561706.jpg" src="https://forums.x-plane.org/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">
</p>

<p>
	The key thing I had to balance was performance vs. range.  The first leg was probably the most challenging since I had to climb over the mountain ranges, starting at sea level.  Knowing how far I had to go, it was painful to fly at only 60 knots as I climbed.  I think I found that the best range speed is something like 70 to 80 knots.  I made into NZGY with the remaining time in the red, which is something to avoid since when the charge is done, it doesn't just taper off.  The engines stop and one becomes a very pretty rock!  The second leg was the longest, because I tried to go faster by not climbing over the mountains.  Given the way I flew leg one, I'm pretty sure I could have gone direct.  The straight shot from XNZVL to NZMA had to be broken up in two since I had to be at 8500 feet or so for the landing and I wanted to have a bit extra in the tank for the landing because the airfield altitude makes hovering a bit sketchy at an uncomfortably high power setting.  The "Mataura River Skyport" is an airport on a <em>very tall set of pylons</em>, something inspired by the movie<em> Oblivion</em>.
</p>

	<a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" data-fileext="jpg" data-fileid="644108" href="//media.invisioncic.com/c334187/monthly_2021_11/362090812_Honeyview_2021-11-0520_11_56-Window.jpg.751932720bd76bb32fac804edae7966c.jpg" rel=""><img alt="Honeyview_2021-11-05 20_11_56-Window.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="644108" data-ratio="70.67" data-unique="uuovdfqxi" style="width: 600px; height: auto;" width="1000" data-src="https://forums.x-plane.org/uploads/monthly_2021_11/991097718_Honeyview_2021-11-0520_11_56-Window.thumb.jpg.e17024dc2e266df7bd0b589ada3948ed.jpg" src="https://forums.x-plane.org/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></a>
</p>

<p>
	At the end of all of this, I wondered how long this trip would really have taken, given that one cannot normally just press a magic button and recharge to 100%.  <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/499624-nhadrian/&amp;do=hovercard" data-mentionid="499624" href="https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/499624-nhadrian/" id="ips_uid_9533_8" rel="">@nhadrian</a>...  do you have any specifications for the battery or batteries in the NHRacer?  Did you model on real world components from which one could get an idea of how long a realistic recharge would take?
</p>

<p>
	One thing that would be really helpful for long flights like this would be a simple attitude hold function.  I found that pitch trim would not hold the nose down during cruise.  I suspect I'll eventually code this by copying current code from a different project so that pitch hold becomes a simple joystick toggle of some sort.  I can't help but putter around with these things... but it helps make the novelty last!

	In the next release I'm planning to:

<ul>
	<li>
		implement position hold flight mode - in this mode not only altitude but location is also locked automatically, just like in multicopters like DJI.
	</li>
	<li>
		implementing particle effect under props for various surfaces
	</li>

	Fun city!  eVTOL is engaging, and the NHRacer is a blast.  It gets a bit wonky if you go too fast, but I was throwing caution to the winds.  It performed well in cliff-side relative work in the Grand Canyon, although I was practically out of battery when I finally found a crag I could set down on.
</p>

</p>

<p>
	There's some kind of visual artifact in view that might be the helmet feature when it's not enabled.  I'll try to capture an image on my next go.
</p>

<p>
	<s>Needs a ballistic parachute for when you run out of battery at altitude</s>.  <span class="ipsEmoji">🤪</span>  (Found it...  <span class="ipsEmoji">😉</span> )
</p>

<p>
	Overall I found it easy to get used to, but I have a bit of experience with six propeller VTOL's.  The nice thing is that it is reasonably stable, even in acro mode.  Experienced users will probably leave it in acro all the time.
</p>

<p>
	It wants a HUD, and with that it wants some form of head stabilization so that you're not looking at the dirt when you're just trying to accelerate.  The HUD will come with X-Plane 12, and the head stabilizers with either a 3rd party add-on or something that Adrian conjurs up.
</p>

<p>
	Overall:  <span style="font-size:48px;"><span class="ipsEmoji">👍</span><span class="ipsEmoji">👍</span></span>
</p>

<p>
	Edit:  I'll leave the big announcement for <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/499624-nhadrian/&amp;do=hovercard" data-mentionid="499624" href="https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/profile/499624-nhadrian/" rel="">@nhadrian</a>, but if you want to get a jump on the madding hoards (and the weekend fun) <a href="https://store.x-plane.org/NH-Racer--Manned-Racing-Multicopter_p_1514.html" rel="external nofollow">you can find the NHRacer here.</a>
