Think of it like an app store just for Airfoillabs aircraft.</p><h2>STEP 1 - Open the Product Manager</h2><p>Now that the Product Manager is installed, you need to open it to download your aircraft. You have <strong>two ways</strong> to do this:</p><h4>Option A - Run Product Manager as a Standalone App (X-Plane does NOT need to be running)</h4><p>Press the <strong>Windows key</strong> on your keyboard, type <strong>"Product Manager"</strong> and you will see <strong>"Airfoillabs Product Manager"</strong> appear in the search results. Click it to launch.</p><p>You can also navigate directly to this folder on your computer and launch it from there: <code>X-Plane 12\Resources\plugins\xjet\bin\Product Manager</code></p><h4>Option B - Open Product Manager from Inside X-Plane 12</h4><ol><li><p>Start X-Plane 12.</p></li><li><p>Load <strong>any aircraft</strong> - for example the default Cessna 172 that comes with X-Plane 12. That's all.</p><p><strong>"How do I update the Product Manager / xjet?"</strong> Just re-run the installer you downloaded from the store. It will automatically remove the old version and install a fresh one.</p><p><strong>"I already have xjet installed from a previous Airfoillabs product - do I need to worry?"</strong> No. The new installer will handle it automatically - it removes the old <code>xjet</code> folder and installs the current version.</p><p><strong>"It's unclear how to update xjet"</strong> Simply re-run the Product Manager installer. Alternatively, delete the <code>xjet</code> folder manually and run the installer fresh - it will install a clean, up-to-date version.</p><p></p><h2>Need Help?</h2><p>If you run into any issues, please post in this thread and we'll be happy to help. <p>
	I guess the simplest place to start as what is the correct syntax or path when you start up project manager to identify where you want to install the new copy of the 172. It does not seem to be any way within the request to locate any outboard devices that I wish to install the aircraft on this one has me puzzled. I'm sure it's simple but my old head is not thinking clearly really appreciate any help you can come up with many thanks.

	<p>
		Dear Friends,
	</p>

	<p>
		A small update of Product Manager + XJet plugin 1.5.1 was just published. It mainly solves issues with Reshade plugin compatibility and OpenGL inicalization crashes fixes.
	</p>
</div>

<p>
	<strong>How to update:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	1. Please download new Product Manager <strong><a href="https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/67109-product-manager-xjet/" rel="">HERE</a></strong> or from any of our product purchases on <strong><a href="https://store.x-plane.org/" rel="external nofollow" target="_blank">store.x-plane.org</a></strong>.<br>
	2. Make sure X-Plane is not running.<br>
	3. Launch Installer.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Notes:</strong><br>
	<em>1.</em> <em>Is one installation package that contains:</em><br>
	     <em>Xjet plugin - Essential so that all Airfoillabs products could work with X-Plane 11.<br>
	     Product Manager app (works as standalone app or inside X-Plane 11) - Software distribution, auto-updates and DRM system.<br>
	2. Product Manager/xjet always automatically deletes old installations. It never does anything outside of ..\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\xjet folder.<br>
	3. Previously xjet was able to update itself via Product Manager. This feature is no longer supported as it created very complicated interdependencies, resulting in different issues.</em>
</p>

<p>
	Have a lot of exciting flights in X-Plane and be safe.
</p>

	 I decided to go with the C172 NG.
</p>

<p>
	The Manager will not install into XP12, thus precluding the subsequent installation of the C172NG.  Oh, it goes through the installation process and reports completion - it even adds the XJet folder into the plugins folder of XP12 when viewed in File Explorer.  BUT - the manager does not run upon XP12 startup like it should, and there is no "Airfoillabs" folder in the plugins menu in the upper left of the screen after XP is running.  I am thus apparently locked out of even installing a fairly expensive airplane.
</p>

<p>
	Curiously, since the plane is also available for XP11, it DID install OK in that sim.  So it is not a total loss - just the XP12 portion; but of course that is the one I wanted....

	i am moving over to XP12 and have bought the C172 Analoge, but when trying to install the AFL product manager it goes through the Extracting process and then gives the message "Error: a JNI error has occured, please check your installation and try again" and after that "A java exception has occured"
</p>

<p>
	I have tried removing and reinstalling various versions of JRE and JDK from version 8, 17, and 22 but there are no changes. Other java apps will run completely fine and it is only the AFL product manager that gives me these problems

	Hi! after watching the great Q8Pilot Youtube review I bought the airfoillabs-C172NG and airfoillabs-C172NGA planes in X-Plane store. I installed them and everything is working fine. Now I will move all my X-Plane installation (Steam allows to do this) to a second NVME M2 internal drive on my PC, and I would like to know what does I need to do with the Product Manager and the installed planes? I will appreciate any suggestion to do this correctly, thank you!
