I purchased the C150 Commuter XP11 but got an error "airfoil is too old"

I purchased the C150 Commuter for XP11 but when I was loading it in X plane I received an error.

Is there a way to fix this or must I receive a refund.

I purchased the Xplane 12 version of this in Nov of 25 and have been unable to use it. Every time I install it and run Xplane, I try to select it and when stepping into the cockpit it crashes to desktop (Win 10). Upon reboot I get an error that says the was a SASL error in the module and I select another plane and off I go. I do not understand how to troubleshoot this issue and have kinda given up on it. I have included the log file from a sample run if thats helpful.

Hey there,

first of all: Great work! I just started my Private Pilot License and preapred my very first "real life" flight lesson in X-Plane with your C150. The instructor was impressed, by what i already know Now, i'm doing my homework (learning the traffic pattern, steep turns, slow flight etc.) with your C150, too. To make it more real, i also created my very first livery, to match the C150 to the one of my flight school (pictures below).

What's missing so far, are the two Garmin G5 in my 3D cockpit, instead of the artificial horizon and the heading indicator (see attached image). I found the X-Aviation G5 Addon for X-plane and the support told me, that you guys already received a developer version of the G5s from them, since "Integration into the 3D cockpit requires integration from the aircraft developer as it needs the original source objects to be modified to add in the screen space and clickspots.". Is there any chance, you could help me to install those in your C150? That would be such a great help for my further PPL training! If it's a money issue: i would be happy to pay for that service.

ps.: The C150 i'm flying can only hardly be steered with the pedals, while on ground. I need to add brakes to drive curves more narrow. I don't know if that's always the case.

Hello everyone!

I was directed here for customer support, so this is the issue: I just purchased the vFlyteAir X-Plane 12 version of the Cessna 150 Commuter XP12 and realized that I had a coupon code available for use, after the fact. This coupon would have been very useful had I known about it. Airfoil Labs applies the discount automatically. It would have been great if the same applied here, as well.

How do I get this discount (worth almost $12.00 CDN) after I have already purchased the product? i tried using the coupon on another vFlyteAir purchase, but it did not work.

Can anyone here advise me, since I have had no reply, to this date, from the main vFlyteAir website contact page?

It doesn't sound like idle, it sounds like the engine was turned off and windmilling. I bought the plane in March 2023, so unsure if a new version has released. Thank you!

C150 glass in XP12

I love the vFlyteAir planes and had almost every one in XP11. Now in XP12 they are also gradually filling the hangar.

But dear vFlyteAir team - the glass in the 150 in XP12 looks terrible. Q8Pilot also criticized this in his review video.

The glass is far too milky, inside and out

Please please please make an update and increase the transparency.

The windows look like they are fogged up. I think you wanted to simulate old plastic windows with scratches. But this is way too much
the scratches are perhaps also a little too dominant

Only getting “N/A” for a clipboard option in “show/hide tablet”

The recently bought vFlyteAir C150 for x-Plane 12 is only giving me “N/A” for a clipboard option in “show/hide tablet” no matter what panels or liveries I select. I haven’t seen anybody else showcasing the plane on YouTube having that problem, and I watched quite a few of them. Must be some kind of a band-aid fix caused for something broken by a recent X-plane surprise update?

After purchasing the aircraft, I was thrilled to learn that it supported the RXP GNS 430W. However, I was wondering if there's a chance the developers could add support for the RSG G5 Avionics. I train on these, and I feel the option for this would be amazing. The developers at RSG have expressed that they would work with aircraft developers, and they even have a guide for aircraft developers to understand without any contact.

Hello, hello! In x plane 12 you cannot assign flaps up/down. The flaps only go all the way down. There is only one data ref: c150/flaps down.

Hmm, today I tried starting it up but it would no budge. Primed, throttle at 1/4, mixture rich, fuel on. No go. Followed procedures. Any ideas. Will the battery run flat and if so, how is it recharged?

Ok, so the XP12 version will not follow the gps or heading bug at all. Now it may not be intended, I am not sure. It won't hold altitude either. Now it will follow the gps track if I have the GTN650 enabled as a popup and put my flight plan there. (We could really use the GTN650 in this plane...it will fit in place of the gns430 just sayin)

After takeoff, and with an aircraft which is supposed to have left turning tendency (it does require right rudder on take-off roll to stay straight on runway)... why is it necessary to apply left rudder in a left turn yet zero rudder in a right turn?

The 172's I've flown (and most other single props) are opposite of this behavior. They typically require little to no left rudder on a left turn and they require right rudder on a right turn. Usually more engine power and higher AoA's require more rudder in turns...but not in this C150 plane. This plane is behaving the opposite of what one would expect. How could it require a fair amount of left rudder on a left-hand climbing turn after takoff (that alone is sort of odd)...yet needs no right rudder on a right-hand climbing turn after takoff? The slip ball sits slightly left of center, infact, with level wings. It's as if either the prop is spinning the wrong way or the engine isn't placed correctly.

I have to admit that I'm perplexed. Is this intended by design and is simply how a C150 fly's or is it some sort of issue that needs fixing?

(No winds, I have zero rudder trim in & my rudder pedals are properly calibrated, just incase you're wondering guys)

What a lovely little airplane! I really like flying with the simple "trainer" panel, and including a proper POH in the documentation is really appreciated!

One question - what is the leftmost light switch for? (The one labelled "V LTS")
