(Eagle 315)

	Good morning guys!

Hey I just bough this plane (https://store.x-plane.org/Eagle-315-HP-Twin-Prototype_p_1051.html)...

According to the advertised info it says X11 and X12:

With a detailed fully-animated 3D model, PBR textures, FMOD sounds, and custom systems, the Eagle 315 HP Twin Prototype is a quality aircraft for X-Plane 12 and 11

	X-Plane 12 and X-Plane11

		Windows, Mac or Linux

		8GB+ VRAM Recommended

		Download size: 360MB
Current version: 2.1 (June 6th 2024)

But this doesn't look X12 native at all... as a matter of facts without the "show airplanes for older versions" it doesn't show at all inside XPLANE12... am I doing something wrong with the install?

	Hello,

I've just purchased your “Super Petrel LS” product on the x-plane.org store. On this plane I notice the absence of two controls, for which the supplied documentation does not provide any precision. I can find neither parking brake nor flaps. I activated the clickable zones to find these controls, but they don't seem to have any switches or levers assigned to them. Are these controls really missing from the real model? Or is this a beta version that should integrate them at a later date? The documentation doesn't say!
Thank you for your feedback.

	Best regards,

Yes the Eagle 315 might not be too complex with regards to its systems, compared to a Beech
and it's made for real training as well.

	Dear pilots,

Here is a thread for updates and modifications planned or under implementation / testing regarding our fleet.

	Eagle 315 Twin Experimental.

	Flight model
Add Rudder components (fins) in the engine flow path for safe single engine operations
Add yaw damper

	Engine / Propellers
Design a custom prop governor
Prop Lever full forward 2400-2700 rpm
Prop Lever cruise range 1700-2400 rpm
Add a switch for Prop/Gov configuration:
Manual / Governor with auto feather

	Detailed infos

In present model (EFR-110 v2.1), the single engine operation is challenging
at low speed, due to wide efficient propellers. The props at low speed provide
huge forward thrust due to their size and constant speed unit.

As well, engine provide speed breaking and loss of lift when throttle is closed
to idle with prop level full forward. This is undesirable since the aircraft is
very sensitive aerodynamically, therefore below spec'ed modifications are foreseen.
These modifications allow both smoother landings in all configurations and better
(safer) single engine operation.

	Implementation (planned)

	Rudder fins

Smaller rudder fins mounted on tail, at elevator tips, in the engine airflow path
* Height (span) approx 3 feet, width (chord) approx 2 feet
* Mount : at the end of elevator, left and right hand sides
* Controls : 50% of chord, differential +20/-0 degree

	Prop governor

The governor should be fit with a switch for Man/Auto
In manual mode (MAN), prop behaves as standard constant speed.
In governor mode (GOV), the prop speed takes into account both prop and throttle
levers position:

Prop lever Full forward (90-100%) for Take off and approach
Prop lever cruise range (50-90%) for cruise

Governor RPM linear with Throttle lever position
Prop lever > 90% (TO/App): 2400 RPM Idle / 2700 RPM Full Throttle
Prop lever at 90% (fast Cruise): 1900 RPM Idle / 2400 RPM Full Throttle
Prop lever at 50% (slow Cruise): 1700 RPM Idle / 1950 RPM Full Throttle

	  Prop lever < ~30-40%: Feather

Engine failure with Governor ON: auto-feather (any prop lever position)

	  Check list update:
Before take off, check and activate Yaw damper and Prop governor
Normal take off and approach with Prop governor and Yaw damper ON

	  Flight Manual update:
In case of power failure in flight, the aircraft will perform auto-feather
and yaw trim adjustments as needed, provided the Yaw damper and Governor
have been activated.

Yaw damper

Enabled by AP Button (can be turned on or off).
Normal procedure will call for Test and enable before take off
Yaw damper will only control the elevator fins (Elv N°2) and provide
yaw stability and yaw trim in case of engine failure using full control over
the fins.

For aerobatics maneuvers, the yaw damper should be turned off from safe altitude
and turned back on approach, before landing.

	Regards,

First of all. It is really VERY nice.

I got fed up waiting for you to put a pilot in it so decided to buy it anyway and stick my own people in it. 🙂

Main fuel pump switch animation doesn't work if you click it, aux fuel pump switch is OK. Their actual systems modeling doesn't seem to be there...

The prop is set to -8 degrees downthrust, presumably to offset any pitch-change with power. It looks wrong in the external view because it doesn't line up with the spinner.

	Those are extremely minor.

Here's the biggie: The rudder looks awful. It glows. Probably because you forgot to turn off smoothing and X-Plane is very kindly trying to 'help'. The other control surfaces don't have this problem and are rendered perfectly. Please fix the rudder, it spoils a very beautiful model.

The flight dynamics seem spot-on. Right on the numbers and it is an absolute delight to fly.

	Good afternoon!
I recently purchased Petrel, and I have noticed that there is always an electrical failure after about 30 minutes of flight, even if the entire checklist is followed according to the attached documents. However, compared to the real plane, I did not identify the alternator in the addon, and therefore it is probably the battery that discharges in that time, losing all parameters of the avionics, and the flight is completely visual.
Please rectify this as soon as possible, okay ?!

Congratulations on the aircraft and initiative!

	Dear X-Plane pilots,

The labs just released the Super Petrel Light Sport Aircraft, which is a small Bresilian aircraft, amphibian, biplane, with very specific features.

It has a manually retractable landing gear. Its flight dynamic is docile and designed to stall gently (lower wing first), while maintaining controllability.

This aircraft is thoroughly tested by a real pilot and provides a close dynamic from the real aircraft.

We hope you will find it interesting and will continue to evolve it with upgrades.
