in my TB10 on X-Plane 12, I don't have the sidebar menu.. When I click the arrow, it only brings up one element of the instrument panel. The plugings don't appear either. Has anyone else had this problem?

Doing a lot of night-flying recently, I noticed that the nitensity of the Taxilights and Landing lights of the TB20 here in the sim are not correct. I have researched this and came up with the following settings which are closer to what I witness on a dark night, no visible moon when taxying on dark taxi way or while landing on a not-so-well-lit landing strip, way behind the ALS guiding lights. The original settings light up the landing strip beyond the lights of the ALS, while my experience is that the landing light only slightly provides lighting of the runway when there is limited or no lights available, but definitely does not overpower the ALS lights.

The original setting had a length/distance setting in the Lights.OBJ file of 110, which is much higher than most if not all GA planes in XP12. Here are my current settings. Find the section in the existing Lights .obj file, starting with LIGHT_CUSTOM and with the parameter sim/graphics/animation/lights/airplane_taxi_light at the end of the line. And just copy the new set into the Lights.obj file, overwriting the current parameters in that file. Alternatively I added the entire file which just needs to be renamed to Lights.obj.

Something wrong with update 1.9.3.

I just updated this plane to version 1.9.3. and now it can not fly in X-plane 12 (I´m using X-plane 12 version).

There is no error, but it seems as if the engine is far too underpowered or the aircraft is too heavy (it was not overloaded).

Should we buy this plane ?

I'm considering buying this plane.

One thing is holding me back: it hasn't been updated since May 2023!

That's over two years!

In the meantime, X-Plane 12 has evolved tremendously.

So I'm wondering if it's really worth investing in a developer who's no longer updating it.

Am I wrong?

Plane unflyable with new X-PLANE Update12.1.4B1

I have been enjoying the TB10/20 flight model for quite a while as I fly the TB20 IRL. After updating to the latest beta version 12.1.4B1 the plane is basically unflyable. The ground handling is terrible and in flight the plane is unstable and at times uncontrollable in pitch and roll. I have tried multiple settings on my controller but no improvement. There is a new physics camera in the view menu that I thought may have been causing a problem so I disabled it, but no improvement. Has anybody else noticed this with the latest update?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The Socoata TB10 and TB20 are out now for XP12 and I am overwhelmed by the quality of the upgrade.
The new installer for XP12 worked like a charme, registering and reconfiguration for XP12 were easy-peasy and the final result are the two best XP12 aircraft yet in my hangar. Even things like spark-plug fouling and vapour lock are working in XP12, the visual model is as good as in XP11 and all I miss are some more scratches in the windows to exploit the new lighting system.
I only had time for 3 to 4 hours of flight time yet but I am VERY positively surprised so far. Excellent job, Thranda and Justflight and thanks so much for treating your existing customer base so fair.

Unable to use HSI to display GPS course

I have the latest version of the package and have been experiencing a problem for a while. I have the Real Sim GTN750 as the primary AGPS unit in the plane. When I load an ILS approach from the GTN 750 I will get a glideslope and localizer display on the HSI. When I load a GPS approach from the GTN 750 I do not get either a localizer track or a glideslope indication on the HSI. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Plane acting broken in latest update

I recently installed Skunkcraft updater and my issue could be there, but with the latest update There are some issues. First, I start out in the pilot's head and he is displayed inside the cockpit. I checked and SASL appears to be running. Next, the click to remove yoke isn't working, nor is the prop control nor magneto switches. When clicking auto engine start, it seems to have to reload the aircraft.

All of this was working fine as of around December. Is this like other folks' issues and maybe the SASL file isn't working properly? SASL3_Tbient (SASL) is costing ~18FPS and is nearly a quarter of my usage (X-Plane is the remainder).

Any help is appreciated since I would like to get this aircraft back to working order again.

Mixture control doesn't work as expected

I really love these planes and they work very well in XP11 but now in XP12 there are still some weird bugs in the code.
I noticed a few weeks ago tht the mixture control isn't working as expected. Leaning the mixture leads to increasing EGTs until the peak but fuel consumption is hardly affected, in fact was rising in several cases.
In the beginning I thought it might be because of the BETA status XP12 is still in but nothing changed until the lastest release XP12.07.
I am running the latest update of your TB10/TB20 planes via Skunkcraft updater but the problem remains.
Any chance to get this fixed?

Hi, I bought the TB10/TB20 in SimMarket among other Just Flight aircrafts. I am using Steam X-Plane 12.1.1, W11.

As you can see in the attached image, TB10/TB20 is only appearing when "show aircrafts from older versions of X-Plane" is selected.

Is this the version I have to use in XP12 or there it is another download file exclusively for XP12?

Will not get above 60kts

Having trouble getting the TB20 and 10 above 60kts it just won't do it. Only have 50% fuel. Have been flying this for 12 months with no issues. Have deleted it and re added it and now out of serial number activations.

Any developer help?

Weird Elevator behaviour XP12

Greetings all,

I have now flown both the TB-10 and TB-20 and in both aircraft I’ve had an incident with Elevator behaviour. Flying at cruising, AP on Alt selected, all of a sudden I’m bleeding off speed fast and noticed that the elevator trim was continuously turning to up position for no apparent reason.

Any ideas on this? Whilst the aircraft is very reactive to weather conditions, I can’t understand such weird behaviour.

GTX330 issue

Greetings team, I purchased this great aircraft and one thing I found was that the GTX330 is meant to have Pressure Altitude as one of its functions but it doesn’t appear. I have version 1.9.3 installed. Just wondering as the manual states that function is available.

V1.9.2 No panel selector

V1.9.2 on Mac Silicon, clean XP12.04 installation.

After upgrading using the Skunkcraft updater, the plane asks for a new authorization. This is only valid for Silicon or Intel/Rosetta. It asks for a new authorization any time you switch between the two.
Pressing the arrow to open the panel selector pops up the ADF instrument panel instead. The panel selector is not accessible as far as I can see. Pressing on the ADF does not pop out anything.

NB: I am not using the clean XP12.04 for flying, thus the joystick errors in the file. The panel selector behaves exactly the same in 12.05. Flies nicely, though.

XP12 rain effect with Socata TB10 & TB20 quite ugly

I really love the free upgrade for the Socara TB10 & TB20 a lot and I really like it but unfortunately they didn't adjust the rather ugly default rain effect of XP12. in default settings, the rain drops are way too big and it looks like slime that someone throws at the windshield. Other developers are now using the scaling factor that LR offers but Thranda unfortunately doesn't.
If you also don't like the big rain drops, here's what you need to do.
Go to the objects folder of the aircraft in XP12 and look for a file called ExtWindows.obj and open it in the text editor of your choice.
In the beginning right after the lines:

NORMAL_METALNESS
GLOBAL_specular 1
BLEND_GLASS

Add the line:

RAIN_scale 0.3

and you can experiment with the value 0.3, it won't damage anything if you use 0.4, 0.5 or whatever value you like most.
I am using the 0.3 value in most of the aircraft I fly.

Hi,

Have been flying the XP11 as part of my IFR training on my own TB20. Would love to continue that with this great model on XP12 as well as visibility is more natural for IFR flights. Any plans to make it compatible for XP12?
