I am a former 732 pilot and I’ve been working in a modification to match FJS 732 performance to the real numbers. I would like to share the mod but I think I need approval from the developers first, and to be honest I don’t know to contact them. Please (developers) let me know if you are interested. The Log.txt is attached and I see at the bottom that SASL 3.2.7 caused the crash but I’m not sure how to get around that. SASL has been allowed through the Security settings so I’m at a bit of a loss.

Would appreciate any help or pointers.

The airplane comes with a nice little takeoff card that contains all your V-Speeds and other data, but have you ever wondered: what runway is this data valid for? More specifically, for which runway length will these values be valid. Well this is exactly what my document provides: minimum required runway (field) length.

Using this information you can verify that for certain conditions you may have/have not enough available runway for a safe takeoff using maximum TO/GA power or you can use reduced thrust by using an assumed temperature method. For dry runways use the TOD_n-1 (Engine-out Takeoff Distance) value and for wet runways use the ASD wet (Accelerate/Stop Distance) value.

Assumed Temperature

To determine what assumed temperature can be safely used, do the following steps:

1. obtain the runway length and any head/tail wind speed in knots.

2. go to Corrected Field Length - Wind table, find the correction value based on the winds and add/subtract it from the runway length

3. in the Required Field Length tables find the table with the desired assumed temperature^* and check if the minimum required runway (field) length is less than or equal to Corrected Field Length. For dry runways use the TOD_n-1 value and for wet runways use the ASD (wet) value. If the required runway length is higher than available runway length, consider using a longer runway or a lower assumed temperature

4. in the referenced "Boeing 737-200 FlyJsim EPR Limits - Takeoff Speed - Weights - Plan Fuel Data" document (see below) find the maximum allowed EPR power setting for your chosen assumed temperature

5. congratulations! You can safely takeoff with a lower power setting

*- at the moment only data for assumed of 55ºC is available. If you need a lower temperature you can either interpolate between 25 and 55 degrees (low precision) or wait for me to complete flight tests for other temperatures (high precision).

What is assumed temperature?

To put it really simple terms: it allows you to use less than maximum power on takeoff and removes the need to takeoff like a rocket on long runways and/or with light loads.

Some info on how tests were conducted

To determine Engine-out Takeoff Distance in-sim distance was measured for worst possible scenario: engine fail after V₁ or at V_r from start of roll until 35 feet (15 feet wet) AGL.
I was using T/O EPR limits from here, which for some reason has values about 0.4-0.5 less than the in-sim values.

I take off with 108,500 lbs gross weight (not too heavy: full pax + 3,750 cargo + 7000, 0, 7000 fuel).
I set EPR = 1.85 on initial climb to FL100 and pitch for 250 KIAS getting 2,100 fpm
Then I pitch for 285 KIAS / M 0.73 and get to down 800 fpm at FL250 (EPR has increased to 1.88)
When I’m at FL310 vs has dropped to 600 fpm (EPR has increased to 1.93)
At FL330 vs=300 fpm (EPR = 1.95)
From there vs reaches hardly 200 fpm.
When I’m at cruise level FL340 I need EPR = 1.89 to cruise at M 0.77

Is this a normal performance? I wonder why if I load 25,000 lbs fuel for long trip!

you would think the documentation would come with it. I am running X-plane 11 on an imac.

When I try to start the engines, the Engine Start Switch flips back to OFF after just a few seconds, before I can even introduce fuel.

• N2 barely reaches 30-40%, then dies off.

• There is external air connected (or APU air, I've tried both).

• Isolation valve is open, engine bleeds are on, packs are OFF.

• Electrical power is working normally, but I get no real power from the engines.

• It feels like the start valve isn't staying open, or there's no bleed air pressure, but everything looks correctly set up.

I followed 3+ checklists and even tried different start methods, but the LOW PRESSURE lights won't go away, and flaps won't extend because the hydraulic system isn’t getting powered.

This is a fresh install, version 3.41, bought from X-Plane.org, and I can’t find anyone else with the exact same symptoms online.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this a known bug or maybe something I missed?

I have the Saitek yoke which I am aware of "is ######", but unfortunately I can't afford a new yoke now. 

I have my curves all set up so that all the other aircrafts flies great and are easy to control, but the 732 pitches to heaven, then dumps back down on the runway when I easy up on the pressure of the yoke. 

I just wanted to ask out there if somebody has had the same issue and maybe have some settings that works for the yoke? 

I love the plane and I really really want to fly it, but as of now it's impossible. 

I've already been searching for this here but found no similiar topic:

When being on final, the 732 is lurching on the loc. G/S is fine but the 732 struggles to keep the loc straight, it'S more like a snake shaped flight path.

I do the following items - any mistake maybe?

1) A/C is approaching the FAF. Frequencies are set, HDG and course is set. A/C flap settings, speed, auto brakes and gear are set for approach, speed brakes are armed.

2) I switch from GPS to NAV

3) I activate AUTO APP on the A/P and AUTO APP on the FLT DIR

No matter what the wind is, the 732 can't fly the loc correctly so that I have to disengage the AIL AP and fly it manually.

Any ideas how to solve?
