After enabling X-Camera it created a default .csv file based on the views already present in the Plane's settings, which gave several internal and an external set also. It also set view numbers for these and after tweaking the viewing angles to my liking I was having all manor of issues with the X-Camera views however.
Discovered that the external views, which were useless btw, had view numbers assigned which were also used by the plane settings itself, effectively a duplication.
So, delete the External views all together from X-Camera and just retain the Internal set only and you should find that all will work fine.

In my case the number keys, 7 8 9 , for external views still work, but these are driven by the plane settings and not by X-Camera.

I know it'a a tail dragger and this makes it a little tricky to handle, but I've tried with different settings in X-Plane Joystick Control Sensitivity, trying to use it on grass fields, use differential braking but with little improvement.

This didn't happen in X-Plane 10. Is there any way to make it behave like in XP10, though it is maybe less realist?

I had not seen an announcement, but I noticed the Dr.1 listed as New in the store, so I checked it, and saw in requirements it is now listed for xp10 and xp11.

So, I went to my account and re-downloaded, and it indeed has new XP11 files in the zip.

THANK YOU !!!!! Now I can't wait to load up X-Plane tonight and try out the new version.

I purchased the Fokker a couple of days ago, and I am having a great time with it.

It is my second Aerobask aircraft (the other being the Viper Jet) which is also a lot of fun to fly, and probably as opposite of an experience as is possible to the Fokker.

 

My first flight was rather exciting, on a paved runway with a significant crosswind, which I found was nearly uncontrollable in transition, especially on landing.

Online, I found an article from an owner of a DR1 reproduction, who said that you simply do not take off or land in a crosswind, and instead he generally flies from the grass, and always directly into the wind.

So I tried exactly that, checked the windsock, and found a nice grass area of the airport, ignoring the runway altogether. The experience was drastically better, I found she was actually quite easy to handle this way in both takeoff and landing.

I guess I should not feel like this is cheating, considering in that time, the airfields were simply a grass field, and my understanding is, the pilots always flew directly into the wind.

 

Anyway, my main point is I want to thank you for this great historic aircraft, and humbly request that perhaps you may consider someday returning to this era again.

Perhaps a Sopwith Camel or Snipe would nicely compliment the Fokker as an iconic aircraft from the other side :) (A guy can hope)

You certainly did a fine job reproducing the DR1.
