<p>
	<span style="font-size:16px;"><em>"Eighty percent of success is showing up". </em>Woody Allen</span>
</p>

<p>
	With imminent showing up of major update v2 of our Epic Victory, there are a couple of things you should know, either for avoiding frustration or just for better using this fantastic plane. I will add more if anything comes to my mind, but don't hesitate sharing your own experience.
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		<span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>MUST KNOW</strong></span>: the system for popping up the Skyviews has changed! Because there are plenty of click zones now, you cannot click anywhere for pop-ups to show or hide. The only hot spots for that are on or around the aircraft silhouette both on the HSI and the MAP (and you always have a least one displayed on each Skyview).<br>

	</li>
	<li>
		<span style="color:#008000;"><strong>FLY SLOW</strong></span>: yes it is a jet, yes it can fly fast. But you miss most of the pleasure if you don't explore low speed approaches, small airports and short runways. Forget about what you think a jet can do, we have tweaked the plane and the AP so you can fly at or below 90kts as if on rails, and even slower on manual approaches. VNLK, ENSD, TNCS and others are yours. Grab a nice scenery, turn on runways follow terrain and real weather, and you're good to go!<br>

	</li>
	<li>
		<strong><span style="color:#0000FF;">BASIC HANDLING</span></strong>: don't make thing too complicated and follow some easy guidelines: <u>take-off in RED</u> (N1), <u>climb in YELLOW</u> (N1), <u>cruise at 50</u> (Gal/h), <u>descend at 250</u> (IAS) and <u>approach in WHITE</u> (speed tape). You will not break anything, climb quickly, cruise efficiently, descend fast, and will not blow your flaps or your gear when you need slow down quickly.<br>

	</li>
	<li>
		<span style="color:#800080;"><strong>CENTER IS LEFT</strong></span>: you have three Skyviews installed, but they are not all same. In fact left and center are same (pilot) and right is apart (copilot). While they look independent, and are in a certain way because you can adjust display layout and options individually, they are two different sources for the autopilot (the switch left of the STEC). Both sides share same settings for vertical modes (be carefull that even if AP altitude is same on both, result depends on barometer settings), but have independent horizontal modes: HSI source, bearing sources, AP heading, and OBS (CRS) can be set to different values on each side. Pretty handy when flying "old style" from VOR to VOR...
	</li>

	Hi
</p>

<p>
	The jet worked in XP10 and XP11, without a problem, in OS X Mojave (10.14).
</p>

<p>
	However, in Catalina (10.15), it is impossible.  I get the mac.xpl approved, but the "mac.bin" file crashes X-Plane (both 10 and 11) as soon as I try to approve it, or open it...  I get a SASL crash.
</p>

<p>
	My version of the jet is 2.33.  I have no problems with the Epic turbo-prop in XP 11.50 - both Skyview and G1000 versions work fine.
</p>

<p>
	On that basis, there is probably a simple work-around  - or is there?  <span class="ipsEmoji">🙄</span>

<p>
	We have made the updater available for the Epic Victory (and E1000). You can now update your aircraft without downloading the whole package from the store, with a very simple process.
</p>

<p>
	<u>Installation:</u>
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		download latest updater from <a href="http://update.x-plane.org" rel="external nofollow">http://update.x-plane.org</a>
	</li>
	<li>
		copy X-Updater-Client.jar file into your Epic Victory folder
	</li>
	<li>
		you need java installed on your system. For OS specific instructions, please refer to <a href="http://www.java.com" rel="external nofollow">http://www.java.com</a>
	</li>
</ul>
<p>

</p>

<p>
	<u>Update:</u>
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		double-click on the X-Updater-Client.jar
	</li>
	<li>
		check or set aircraft directory to current directory
	</li>
	<li>
		enter your email (the one used on the store)
	</li>
	<li>
		enter your serial number (license key)
	</li>
	<li>
		start the update
	</li>
</ul>
<p>

</p>

<p>
	<u>Notes:</u>
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		the first time you should have a warning stating the folder is not empty. You can safely ignore this warning once you have double checked the serial number is the one for this aircraft
	</li>
	<li>
		the first time you upgrade it may be a good idea to delete the "Custom Avionics" folder. This is only needed if you applied previous updates without removing this folder first
	</li>
</ul>
<p>

	Purchased both Aerobask Epic Victory 2.3.3 and <strong>Aerobask_Eclipse 550 NG v1.0.42 thru X-Plane Store on 11-27-17 with order number: XXX</strong><span>766 (x's to hide rest of order number) with the last name Lucas. My install Game PC machine also contains sensitive patient info so, I can't connect to internet (violates physician HIPA regulations). I have tried to install both of these planes by entering their respective serial numbers with both accepted but goes to provide me an activation number for each but clicking on the NEXT button goes no further in X-Plane 11.11. It sure "appears" as if offline (no internet connection) activation is possible. Do I have to enter the activation number into the aircraft files or some other process that isn't explained in documentation or on the order page. I am constantly "tweaking" (change Hardware in) my Game Machine so any additional activations would be appreciated for both planes. I can't see a way of sending a PM on this "Create New Topic" page or I would have included serial numbers for both products. If you need my serial numbers, please give instruction on how to PM you. Before these activation </span>constraints I could drag X-Plane (and accompanying Aircraft) from place to place. Unfortunate change. Thanks in advance.

<p>
	1) Are there any plans to bring TAWS/EGPWS to the Victory? I noticed that the moving map doesn't show any water bodies or terrain, which makes it more perilous to operate, and is an awful waste of the huge TFT. <img alt=";)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="//media.invisioncic.com/c334187/emoticons/halloween_wink.gif" srcset="//media.invisioncic.com/c334187/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" title=";)" width="20" loading="lazy"></p>

<p>
	It's the only thing missing from this great aircraft!
</p>

<p>
	2) There doesn't seem to be an altitude alerter?
</p>

<p>
	3) Are there any plans to tweak the autopilot? It over-banks (it likes to use over 35 degrees of roll to turn), and overshoots the desired track (it doesn't seem to compensate for speed, and turns too late). The tighter the turn, the further away from the way point it should initiate the turn to avoid overshooting, but it doesn't seem to do this. It is particularly a problem when flying approach segments at speed (e.g. 250 kts) even though it has room to turn.
</p>

<p>
	In heading mode, it can overshoot a little bit and needs to correct itself a couple of times before stabilizing.
</p>

<p>
	Hand flying it in these situations is OK.
</p>

<p>
	I'm trying to fly an IFR flight plan via an ILS into the destination runway. I'm using Pilot2ATC to create the flight plan and then importing the plan into the Epic Victory. I,m running X-Plane 11. I only managed to follow the waypoints (via GPS) and then catch the ILS near the runway once. I think I might be doing something wrong when importing the flight plan into the Victory. When I create the plan in Pilot2ATC, should I create the SID, STAR and Approach? Will they all import into the Victory? After I import the plan, do I have to click on the destination airport and assign the ILS runway? I don't have to create a transition in the Victory FPL, do I?  I assumed not because it was already part of the flight plan I imported.
</p>

<p>
	Any assistance you could give me in flight plan procedures would be greatly appreciated.
</p>

	I purchased the Victory V2.0 for XP11 this evening and loving every second of it!
</p>

<p>
	I have a question regarding range and fuel burn: I compute that the aircraft has a range of 2300 NM. From what I can find out about the real aircraft, it has a range of around 1300 SM. Why am I seeing so much significant additional range??

<p>
	I just purchased Epic Victory 2.2.11 from Aerobask and installed it on X-Plane 11. When a new flight is selected and after loading it, X-Plane crashes immediately. Is this issue with Epic Victory or X-Plane? Log file is attached.

<p>
	(FWIW, this is the middle SkyView)
</p>

<p>
	As you can see, it appears that the 20 NM label for the range ring is drawn after/above the time of the ETE NEXT overlay, which seems incorrect to me.
</p>

<p>
	A minor annoyance, but would be nice to have it fixed eventually <img alt=":)" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="//media.invisioncic.com/c334187/emoticons/halloween_smile.gif" srcset="//media.invisioncic.com/c334187/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" loading="lazy"></p>
