<p>
	There is an excellent article that precisely describes this, so please read it first:
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://developer.x-plane.com/article/propeller-beta-reverse-models/" rel="external nofollow">https://developer.x-plane.com/article/propeller-beta-reverse-models/</a>
</p>

<p>
	Once read, then take in account the following:
</p>

<ul>
<li>
		clicking on the BETA range below the throttle lever will actually put you in REVERSE.
	</li>
	<li>
		the AH500 annunciation panel will always show BETA MODE for any actual modes.
	</li>
	<li>
		disambiguation is done on the custom engine display on the MFD, showing either BETA or REV accordingly.
	</li>
	<li>
		you MUST assign keys or buttons to BETA and REVERSE toggle for properly managing the engine.
	</li>
	<li>
		while in BETA the throttle lever manages the propeller pitch, not the throttle (which stays idle)
	</li>
</ul>

	Love this aircraft but having the engine torque limited to 80% seems to take away from what operating the real aircraft is like and is counter intuitive to every other aircraft with a turbine. I have watched a number of YouTube videos on the production E1000 and the engine is torque limited to 100% for the first 5min before the pilot pulls it back to 80%. So takeoff is done by pushing the throttle to the stops and then pulling it back 5mins into the climb. It would be really nice to have a new engine model to fit with XP12s latest turbine modelling.
