Leonardo C-27J Spartan by Paolo for X-Plane 11 1.2

(5 reviews)

11 Screenshots

This is a converted & revised version of Paolo's C-27J found here - for X-Plane 11 users.
X-Plane 12 users - Please look for Alpeggio's NEW relaese.

This conversion for X-Plane 11 does not entail a full cockpit review/update, the release has only incorporated necessary most basic function testing. [Note that revision 1.2 has a few cockpit and parameter fixes thanks to a review by Pedro van Leeuwen]

It features 2 versions of the fuselage - with and without in-flight refueling probe.

The original livery of Spartan MM 62218 from 46 Aerobrigata, Aeronautica Militare Italiana is included. Additionally, an Australian RAAF livery, and a Hellenic Air Force livery have been painted by myself. A US Coast Guard livery provided by 'rvatta' has been included in file version 1.1/1.2.

(This Link is useful if one wish to closely imitate operational HC-27J of USCG while a higher res. 4K livery may come at some stage)

Interested users may want to apply the new fuselage without the refueling probe, together with previously published liveries of USAF, Mexican air force and Moroccan Air force.

iShuyBv has offered his kind permission to include his wonderful Mexican Air Force livery, many thanks.

Spartan for xp11 is posted with permission from original Creator.

Everything's pretty good except the reverse thrust is bound to the throttle... so when putting it in idle turns the reverse thrust on☹️

It looks pretty good, but I have a problem: the wheels are sinking slightly into the ground, and the entire plane seems to be raised upwards and tilted backwards. I have no idea what could be causing this.

Great cargo aircraft and very easy to be controlled! I'm glad to see it in my Mil Hangar. Thank you @Fred_Perth .

If you enjoy cargo turboprops, you'll like this one! Great handling and easy to fly on my first test. Brakes need some tweaking, but that's a minor point. Reversers activate automatically when the tires hit the runway. It's FUN!
