Author’s Notes:

This Scenery took 5 Months of planning, editing, assembling, and a complete team of like-minded dedicated people.
I was very fortunate to have met and worked with an awesome and talented group of individuals on this project.

My hats off to Ropeless, who was by far the most dedicated individual and "photoshopping-machine" on this project. =)
Without his tireless work and encouragement, this project would have never gotten off the ground.

This scenery is dedicated to the entire X-Plane Community. (You know who you are...)

download doesnt work..?

Thankyou so much. New simmer here. How much better does it look after installing this. I was a bit disappointed when starting with X-Plane, but am much happier now and appreciative of the work that has been undertaken.

I went to download the file and for some unknown reason it wont download. Anyone know how to fix this ?

Just had a quick look.  Looks nice!  Was zooming around and even saw an Ikea, hehe.  I really enjoyed the gritty dirt and oil on the runway / taxiways / tarmacs.  Thank you.

A nice rendition of sydney thats sadly killed by very low quality and quite honestly ugly terminal buildings and ground textures. This was great for its time but desperately needs a replacement or update for the time being.

EDIT: through no fault of the devs, it appears i had a setting on that shouldnt have been on (runways follow terrain contours) this in turn has fixed the floating terminals and slopes and the airport is a lot better now! so i will give it one more star and keep my original opinion minus the terminals and slopes!

Amazing scenery! I don't fly in Australia often, but this definitely gives me a reason to fly there more. Good work!

Yet again you have made a great scenery like it alot , its up there with San Diego airport as one of my fav airports , thankyou again for a great work.

This is a very nice, highly detailed scenery pack. I absolutely love the CDB. I would give it 5 stars, but the taxiways are a bit fuzzy, and it's very hard to read what they say (but the taxiway signs are great). Overall, great work!!

@barf Does that replacement effect ortho ?

Love the scenery. Im just trying to figure out how to remove the static aircraft.

amazing, so much detail, me living close to Sydney and going their often everything is there, the macca's sign, hungry jacks the tower the qantas link q400's and the qantas a380s just make it look like your really taking off or landing in Sydney even the ikea outside of the airport.

Excellent work but needs an update, it throws errors on XP 11 because it uses a relative path instead of library paths to objects

E/SCN: Failed to find resource '../../Resources/default scenery/900 us objects/commercial/com_100_60_2.obj', referenced from scenery package 'Custom Scenery/YSSY Sydney Kingsford Smith 1.50 (ISDG)/'.

The offending line in the DSF file:

OBJECT_DEF ../../Resources/default scenery/900 us objects/commercial/com_100_60_2.obj

The path here should not include relative parent paths (".."), because it breaks things on Mac/Linux systems that use symlinks, and it would break things on Windows too but you just don't often see Windows systems using symlinks to span simulator over multiple disks and network filesystems etc...

https://developer.x-plane.com/2017/09/do-not-reference-libraries-by-file-path/

EDIT:

The correct path is:

OBJECT_DEF /lib/global8/us/ind_irr_100_60r.obj

The XP900 library is marked as deprecated, so it won't pass validation on the scenery gateway but at least it loads cleanly now!

Attached a replacement .dsf file here, extract and overwrite the.dsf in "Earth nav data/-40+150/"

I would give 5 stars, but marked it down one because I had to fix this to make it load correctly in XP11 🙂

Great Job! Congrats!

Amazing graphics. Absolutely love it.

The only 'issue' I have is that the autogen AI loads up on top of the scenery planes. This causes 2 planes to be at the same gate. Any way to fix this without removing AI?

Stunning work. Are you contemplating producing Perth or Darwin so get all 4 corners of the country?
