It is the whole world, in ver7 resolution scenery, including those areas above and below the 60° Latitudes (which is most of Antarctica), just in case you want to wander around a bit.

If you land, keep the engine running, so it doesn't freeze up. If you happen to touch any frozen metal with an ungloved hand, never use both hands. You will need a free hand to unzip, and aim a urine stream at the frozen/stuck hand to thaw the ice, and get free. Not a joke, that is standard training for researchers, support personel and members of the military that travel/work in Antarctica. It should go without saying, don't try to lick any frozen metal objects while down there.
And... Please, Please... Someone make a dome for South Pole Station!!!!
