I already have SpeedDownload2 installed on my eMac,but we are only given the option to use BitTorrent to download 155 mb Xplane latest beta 7.40-10.

Does BitTorrent have the  continue,function,if the download is broken,all time spent is not wasted?

What is the real advantage? As Im on DSL,have had it on for 5 or 6 hrs,only at 24%,

So Im only getting 2 kb,but the 19 peers are getting 37mb in total?

No advantage my boy, none. Such networks working on the similar (not exactly the same) principe of Bit Torrent are good just for downloading movies before they are in the kinos and software before it is released, you know what i mean, right?

Anyway, what does kib and mib means? Is "kib":
a) kilobit (1000 bits)
kilobyte (8000 bits)
c) Kilobit (1024 bits)
d) Kilobyte (8192 bits)    

BTW. (c and d are the only and true units which should be used imho, the ones before are for dumb people and they make confusion in the system, down with them!!!)

Bittorrent is awesome when you get a huge number of downloaders. I have to admit the number has to get around 100+ but as long as 30% of those downloaders are on broadband. Bittorrent is cheaper for the distributor. Sometimes as much a $5000 a month cheaper.

Kibibytes and Mibibytes are measured in proper powers of 2, with a kibibyte being 2^10 bytes and mibibyte being 2^20 bytes. Thus, these are ACTUAL byte sizes since computers measure in powers of 2.

Well, the correct way of reporting data sizes in computers is the 2^x way.
OS X does this. Otherwise, my 6032500 byte file wouldn't be reported as 5.7 MB. Using 2^x, 6032500 bytes equals 5.75 MB.

If you want to call proper megabytes mibibytes, then feel free to do so, but they should really be referred to as megabytes (MB).
