Dear customers and flight simulation enthusiasts,
Thank you all for your support, patience, and commitment to our avionics software. We are excited to announce the beta arrival of the FTS1000 (Garmin G1000 simulator) for X-Plane 9.45.
FTS1000
Before we publish the software to our online store, we would like to get some feedback from our existing customers on this new product. Please consider beta testing our FTS1000 if you meet all of the items in this list.
- You are an existing customer of SimAVIO Standard or AvSimMap (its not too late to buy it NOW!)
- You are familiar with flying in the 48 contiguous states of the USA (our maps and navigation data is only available in this area)
- You have a Windows computer (or Mac running boot camp) that is fast enough to run SimAVIO and X-Plane on the same PC.
- You have a Widescreen monitor with good resolution.
- You have some hands-on experience using the Garmin G1000, or are proficient with using other Garmin simulations.
- You have time available during the next 7 days. We ask that you record any bugs and document them for us with some screen shots.
- Running X-Plane version 9.45 or greater.
Some of the details that need checking are:
- Installation process.
- Connecting to X-Plane (both to a Windows PC running X-plane, and a Mac running X-Plane)
- Performance on your machine: please state your hardware configuration.
- Aircraft specific details are correct: like engine, airspeed and initial fuel gauges
- SIDS, STARS, and Approaches are correct. (GPS approaches only, no ILS overlays currently)
- Airport facility data is correct. (like frequencies, runway type, fuel, etc…)
- Key assignments and joystick button assignments using the X-Plane Keys and Equipment Page.
- Look and logic of the G1000 bezel, buttons and graphical interface.
- Crashes, slowness, and hardware incompatibilities.
If you are interested, please send an email to Email Ericeric@flythissim.com with the following details:
- Hardware specs of Windows PC or Mac that will run SimAVIO
- Do you plan to run X-Plane on a Mac or a Windows PC?
- What airports do you usually fly to/from?
- Your preferred aircraft package. Pick one of the four available. Beech, Diamond, Cessna or Corvalis :
