Hi everyone,
I just suffered from the "smoke in the cockpit" effect. On a night flight, the effect was pretty bad - there wasn't much I could see at all.
I first had thought my vision was lost to cabin-pressure-loss induced black-out and descended rather rapidly, but when I noticed this didn't improve affairs, the only thing that saved me was that the autopilot console was in an area not blacked out by the effect.
However, once in stabilized flight again, I found that I had no idea of how to clear the smoke from the cockpit in order to resume normal flight operations.
Any suggestions? Somehow I have the nagging feeling there's just nothing I could do ...
Thanks in advance,
Henning (HoHun)
