Hawk's ship from Buck Rodgers

I remembered this ship when I was looking at the ornithopter sparrow development. Don't know if the wings could actually telescope out like this. Found 2 pics on the net but I have the DVD series and could provide as many screen grabs as needed. And as always, just asking. If one of you geniuses is bored. hehe.

Wow, well there's some pretty precise drawings. Shows all sides of it.

any sizes? dimensions?
No, I don't have any actual numbers. But I got some screengrabs today. Here's a couple where it's swooping in to get a starfighter:
I believe I saw somebody had made the starfighter here. I can only hope that his dimensions are right. Otherwise I got this pic of the belly:
and this is a progression of 3 pics showing the way the wings retracted:
Other than these pics, I haven't got much else. After going through the DVD set, it turns out they used the same scenes over and over throughout the series of Hawk's ship. So this about does it for actual TV show pics. I know a hard core sci-fi buff that might just have more info. I'll get back to you.

I talked to my sci-fi friend but he has no additional info on this plane. So what I've provided here is all I have.

I've never actually watched Buck Rogers for any length of time. If I may ask, who is Hawk?

Is it even possible to build a plane with that retracted wing effect in PlaneMaker? Doesn't it need a plug-in?
Must confess that I haven't checked PlaneMaker recently... But a wing section that slides inside another... Hmm.
PlaneMaker isn't much good in checking if parts overlap each other, or has this changed?

Retractable wings happened in 8.40 I think. Wing sections that retracted into other wing sections, ie. telescopic wings, have been made in real life. The first was a french design from the fifties, which flew as a prototype only, as far as I recall.
Edit - here's a more modern concept. Am trying to find a link to the French one I spoke of earlier...
