After I've spent a week in Lapland cross country skiing my fingers itched to fly there

Also little bit of progress visible on the panel.

Ylläs hill on the background - One of the biggest ski resorts here.

Seeking for Kittilä with the help of the NDB

Turning to EFKT 34 FINAL. Hill behind the airport is called Levi - also a popular ski resort.

Very nice. Beautiful terrain with the trees added in.
Just one question: Did you modify the screenshots in Photoshop, or is the plane naturally glowing (exterior shots)?

Glow is artificial (gimp soft glow filter). You can see (and feel

) the gear animation in the last beta. Sorry it's with crappy 2D panel, but the flight model + exterior is up-to-date in it. You can find a pointer to it from my .sig. As no one was interested with teh "flying panel" upgrade, it's the latest still.

B3 out here - the "flying panel" version. I adjusted the viewpoint so that with default settings (1024x768, 45 degrees) it works as a usable 2D panel.
All lower panel buttons are missing, so you should use either shortcut keys or assign a joystick button to operate those functions (start/kill engine, toggle lights, operate flaps/trim...). If you feel that's an unclimbable obstacle, stay in B2.

PS: Even if all autopilot buttons are animated, the AP on/off button isn't clickable. That's because when I made it so, it caused few irritating side effects so I took the click region away from there. Now autopilot turns on when you activate some mode and it can be switched off with shift+1 as usual. Selector of nav1/nav2 source _is_ clickable.
