G'day fellow Aussie's (and others),

Using the best thing since sliced bread, FS2XPlane, Taxidraw and OverlayEditor, I've converted scenery from MSFS to X-Plane for Australia. I've already converted the list below after searching the alleyways of the web for MS Flight Sim Scenery and texture packs. There's more to come!

It's important to download all 5 AussiePaks to get the full coverage. The reason I've done this is so that locations that share the same DSF can have more than one set of scenery, eg, Maitland and Cessnock cannot exist in the same package because they share the same DSF file and likewise Adelaide Intl, the CBD and Parafield. The good news is the first AussiePak is large-ish @ 128mb working down to AussiePak 5 @ 2.2mb

Seeing as that is where I live, Melbourne Tullamarine (YMML) and Melbourne Avalon (YMAV)

I believe Cale has done the objects for YBCG so check with him about that.

Schan01, thanks for your offer(?) What I'm doing is bringing together scenery packages from MS Flight Sim and converting them, if there are any more add-on packages out there. If you know where to find any, please reply with the address/link.

I know about Mike and Cales Sydney and Brisbane (respectively) work so I'm staying away from them however, you should see Hoxton Park (in Sydney)!

Yup, I've done the Gold Coast (YBCG) and Brisbane (YBBN) [please don't make my work obsolete! YBCG is looking better than ever!

] Brissie is still in progress, and I'm currently working on updating YBCG. Brisbane is still to be completed, but Mike is sending me some texture shots that should hurry the development along.

I'd also love to see the two Melbourne airports

Thanks Cale for hooking into this conversation. I wasn't aware of YBCG in your work and (permission granted) I wont include the MSFS version in my released work out of respect for your efforts.

I am from North East Victoria. I would Like to see Albury NSW (YMAY), Wangaratta (YWGT), Benalla YBLA, Shepparton (YSHT), Mangalore (YMNG) and Mount Hotham (YHOT) just to name a few. If i can assist in anyway, I am retired with plenty of spare time. Eg: Beta Testing please send me a PM.

Just to make sure we're all on the same page, permission from the original author is mandatory if you're going to post it here - not "wherever possible". Don't think you'll find getting it to be a problem unless the author has moved onto other things...

Thanks Brett, this is an unspoken basic level of behaviour however a number of the addon sceneries provide no info and no contact details. Guess I could check the whitepages (australian phone book) however I don't even know I they are Australian.
