The dsf files cover the same areas so you will get duplicate roads. Should remove duplicates from one of the packages.
I have flown one area I know and Roads BC Canada has many more roads than OSM Canada. (compare the sizes of the dsf files in each package)

But many OSM roads are over-sized from reality. Typically, a narrow 2-lane road (without even a centreline) on Salt Spring Island has become a 4-lane highway in XP.

just wondering though I removed the files +50-140 , +50-130 , +50-120 , +40-130 and +40-120 from OSM Canada But these folders contain alot more files than contained in the BC roads corresponding folders. what would these other .dsf files be for ? I know that OSM canada claims to do railwas parks and powerlines will these now be missing? I made a new file called BC osm roads and overwrote the bc roads .dsf files into the osm canada folders havent tried it yet but would this work?

You can in 8.6(using a Mac) if you want to do a bit of processing with XP86ReRoad. You'd have to convert the files to text first (I'm assuming the BC Roads files are in DSF format) and then use XP86ReRoad to insert the text data into X-Planes existing DSF files. XP86ReRoad will walk you through this fairly transparently and move files around for you. It takes a few steps but is quite quick and painless. Please read the read me,.... AvMacMan

Do you mean the folders? Or just the files? Not sure because you say to just "delete files..." but then "not the individual DSF files". Thanks in advance for the clarification...
