The success of the ATR72-500WS BINTER made us to work at a new model. As the Fokker F100 is operated by a lot of VAs we decided to work on this model. The original model was made by Christian Riviere. The new cockpit, the panels, the system improvements and the liveries have been made by Tom Weber and Hartmut Krüger.
Few Words before you download this model: please read it - do not ignore it...
1) The Fokker F100 WS is for xplane enthusiasts. To operate it you have to know xplane and maybe a bit of planemaker!
2) This plane is not made for loading with running engines! If you try this the whole logic will not work. This plane is only made for simmers who want to have more system depth then normally available in xplane freeware models. If you want just fly around and want to have a plane which will work after loading with running engines - DO NOT USE THIS ONE!!! (accordingly to this fact airborn loading 10nm or 3nm from the RW is not possible - you will miss the pilots flight director)
YOU HAVE TO START FROM "THE COLD AND DARK"
3)As it is a WS panel you have to experiment with your screen resolution. The model comes by default with 1280x820. But of course you can choose other resolutions but you have to change the view in planemaker.
(Planemaker/Viewpoint/View/amount the panel is scrolled down from the top x.xxx)
4) Instead of a FCOM you will find links below to short videos on youtube. I explain the systems in few words (if you are familiar with xplane and jets you will understand) This Video is not made to explain how to use xplane or how to "fly" a jet - it is just to explain how the system works. Therefore you find two parts. Part1 explains the Panels and the Pedastal, Part2 explains the StartUp with TakeOff and Initial Climb by just following the included CLIST. Do not expect a tutorial for flying jets in xplane. Part2 will come in 4 pieces. Please watch all 5 movies! We are not able to give more support! And sorry for my bad english I gave my very best :-)
Part1 Panel and Pedastal
Part2/1 StartUp, Takeoff, Initial Climb
Part2/2 StartUp, Takaoff, Initial Climb
Part2/3 StartUp, Takeoff, Initial Climb
What I did forgot to say...
5) In the Fokker folder you find a CLIST for using with snailups CHECKLISTER plugin - just follow the CLIST and you will be fine and you will understand the plane)
6) Do not expect an original 1:1 system simulation - but we went so close as it was possible with our skills and xplane.
7) No - there will be no 3D cockpit - look at this panel - I am sure you do not miss a 3D panel - we don´t.
8) The model is for xplane 9.45 no other version tested and supported yet.
9) Some people asked for baro setting in hPa instead of inHG. As I cannot provide it here a conversion table:
www.linder-network.de/private/stuff/inHg_to_hPa.pdf
10) In the past I saw many complains about expensive xplane payware jets. Just to tell you we have been working on this from the middle of December 2009 till now constantly! Please think about this: you get this model for free - you are able to play games on your computer - other people do not know where to sleep or what to eat. Therefore I decided to ask kindly for something in exchange - a donations to a charity organisation which is helping children and families in Haiti. see above
With the Version2 we deliver the first but important update for the Fokker F100 WS. With the help of Jim Barrett and RR in UK and Peter Hager (http://petersuv.vs12....hl-users.com/) we could set the engine setting as near to the original engine as it is possible in xplane. Thank you very much for this extraordinary help.
Changings overview:
- Thrust settings
- N1 settings
- EPR settings
- Fuel consumption
- FuelFlow indicators in MFDS now in lb/min (I got messages that in some cases the readout is not correct - cannot do anything against it - please check with xplane FF data output)
- Fuel Tank Quantity indicators now in lb
- Total Fuel Quantity indicators now in lb
- Grossweight indicator stays in KG cause the TO and Land tables are in KG
- New ECAM engine indicator tape - instead of EGT in °F now it is the ITT Temp in °C
- Alignment of Artificial Stabillity and Autopilot (Autopilot is not perfect yet - if anybody has the skills and the willing to make it just perfect - please do and send me the acf file)
- Texture error on wheels is corrected - thnx to wherlipub who saw this - we didn´t
- In the aircraft folder you will find a zip file which contains PDFs with N1 Settings / Fuel Consumption / Fuel Calculator
- new sounds (the old sound folder is a zip file in the aircraft folder)
- some other tweaks....
This update comes only with the Fokker house livery.
You will find on the .org a download page for the liveries V2 without this wheel texture error
http://forums.x-plan...
Here comes the update V2.1.
Fixes:
more accurate Autopilot thnx to Javier Cortés - now it´s on tracks :-)
other alignments and minor fixes
In this version V2.1 you find included a configuration file Fokker F100 WS for Javier Cortés UFMC
This extraordinary Flight Management Computer plugin (see screenshot) you find here:
http://ufmc.eadt.eu/...l_FMC/Home.html
Check it out - it is a complete new experience in xplane airliner flight simulation. The configuration file is very well aligned with the Fokker F100 WS (not to use with any other Fokker F100)
UPDATE to V2.3:
You will find an update to V2.3 it is just the same as V2.2 but with a ps paintkit.
Thnx to Hartmut for tihs extraordinary work!
Thnx for all donations!
