BEECH X "JOKER" : Norfolk VA - Cleveland OH
As you can hear the drilling buzz from the twin props absorbing 450hp of HKS Turbo Wankel(2) horsepower, I accelerate, lift-off, accelerate to Vyse.. runway gone, gear up, and we're outta here.

The greater Portsmouth Virginia, Norfolk and Newport News Shipyards. A region with a rich history of ship building extending back to the very dawn of America, and a critical border during the US Civil War including history with the Merrimack, Monitor, Union and Virginia in 1862. Notable ships include the USS Chesapeake 1799 which fought in the war of 1812, to the USS Enterprise first nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

Enroute on a north-westerly course, crossing the Appalachian Mountain range.

Comfortable stable cruise over Pittsburg, PA.

Into Ohio, turning direct 115.2 JFN for the WEIDS IAF. ILS 24 KCGF, Cuyahoga County Cleveland. Sun getting low, late in the day..

Established on the Localizer inside of EBLIS, 120 knots clean, waiting for GS intercept and arrival at the KROOK FAF.

To strobe, or Not To Strobe.. that is the question. Well, late in the day enough that my instinct is to turn on the beacon & nav lights, but the airport below and airport ahead didn't have their runway lights on.. and for the sake of the screenshots.. It's not sunset yet.. lights secured.

Landing runway length was comfortable, but not overly generous at 5102ft. Well more than enough, but always can look a little short coming in in a twin at Blueline speed. Short final, landing assured, full split-flap, throttles idle and stretch it in the flare to bleed off some speed for landing.

Welcome to Cleveland Ohio where the local time is....
