The Abu Dhabi scenery comprises a huge area in the Arab desert and the Abu Dhabi shore line with several civil airports, a lively skyscraper skyline and Al Dhafra, the biggest airbase in the Middle East. This place is nowadays home to the largest combined aerial manoeuvres
of NATO forces aside of Nellis Red/Green Flag.Therefor there is a fair amount of very
different Military aircraft on this base.
When moving from ramp to ramp positions in the x-plane scenery you can inspect more closely the individual places of aviation operations. And there are a few little surprises to discover.
I have used many aircraft and objects from various authors that fit this very special environment.
Many thanks to all those who have spent endless hours in creating those elements, that only make an x-plane place all the more fascinating. In particular I like to extend my appreciation to colleagues from Toulouse for many of their hangars and buildings, Barry Leger, Gary Hunter and Daniel Grimes for there beautiful aircraft, which I have transferred into a big Static collection.Special thanks go to Jacques Brault,as he likes to see many of his aircraft on the many different airports of the world of x-plane.I also like to thank Tanguy Rouxel for using Blender variations of his skyscraper buildings in this scenery.
The standard x-plane.org regulations for free release, usage and reusage of this software package apply, but absolutely no commercial usage permitted. Installation of the very helpful
Open Scenery Package is very recommended. This scenery is purposely build for x-plane 8.64, will also work under 9.++, but that x-plane version is - as some very senior x-plane designers say: a lemon.Beware of it.
N.B. It is almost impossible to build such a huge scenery without hidden errors, wrong ramp positions etc. If you discover any of them amongst hundreds of objects, please report them to me for correction and reissue as necessary.
