I enjoy the challenge of flying over the mountains into LFMn Nice Cote d'Azur, but, as is often the case in X-Plane, I was frustrated by the lack of airport details or traffic. Therefore, this is my first attempt at developing X-Plane Scenery, in this case using Jonathan Harris'
FS2XPlane and also his Overlay Editor programmes. The original FS2004 Scenery is by Guy Nemoz and is callednikayaFSIX.zip. This can be found, along with Guy's other work at http://www.vf-air.com/index.htm. Many thanks for the permission, Guy.
The work is far from perfect, mostly due to the fact that FS2XPlane (correctly) puts most of the buildings and carparks into the lake which is on the left of the airport on 4L Approach. THIS LAKE DOES NOT EXIST IN REAL LIFE, so I have moved the buildings, (piece by piece) onto dry land using Overlay Editor, and used OpensceneryX (REQUIRED AND AVAILABLE ON THIS STE) to create static aircraft and other
airport traffic.
Therefore, the scenery is a fairly liberal interpretation of the real life LFMN, but does add a bit of detail and life compared to the default X-Plane scenery. Anyone who wishes to make corrections to gate numbers, taxiways etc is
more than welcome.
Guy Nemoz informs me that no privateplanes use LFMN, they must go to LFMD (Mandelieu, Cannes).
(I have in X-Plane Rendering Options "runways follow terrain contours" UNTICKED)
Enjoy!

This is a good looking scenery you have there. Just a hint: in Overlay Editor you can cover the lake with a G8 pol polygon to simulate terrain. If you do not find a satisfactory texture you can also edit and rename an existing one and put it in your objects folder.
Thanks for the tip....Still learning!!

Do you have OpensceneryX installed in your custom scenery? If not, many objects won't be located. I treid downloading the Zip myself, just to make sure all was OK, and it was.

You can find another LFMN and other Cote d'Azur scenery at:

I was in Nice recently, and there were many private jets...

Thanks for the effort! :-) But...if you moved the buildings, flying online, you'll see all other traffics maybe in the lake when they are, really,at a gate...and of course the runway and taxies will be in the grass, for example.Good idea to cover the lake with fake terrain,so the buildings and all the rest will be in the real position, isn't it so ? :-)
